Concerning the Mark of the Beast – A Revelation

There is so much going on in the world right now. Many things that Jesus warned us about in Matthew 24 have already come to pass. The newest is the Coronavirus pandemic, which is seemingly consuming people’s thoughts world wide. There’s true reports on the news about all of these things, but much fake news too, particularly concerning Covid-19. Many people don’t know what to believe.

When asked by his disciples, “what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”, Jesus replied with a whole list of things and then follows them with “all these are the beginning of sorrows”. I find myself daily examining where we are on the “spiritual timeline” of things. You see, God is timeless, but he does have a perfect plan and an appointed time to bring it all together! One can not help but think about the end of all things and wonder where we are on that timeline. Even the secular world is talking about the apocalypse.

Since the Coronavirus broke out weeks ago I’ve read many articles and watched many videos that have circulated about the time we are in. Many people are voicing their concern about “the mark of the beast”, and, “is that what’s coming next”? I would like to take this opportunity to share with you what I firmly believe the Lord has revealed to me concerning this.

The bible is clear that we (mankind) are born in sin (a fallen world) with a “beast nature”. We see this in various places. Here are just a few: Jeremiah 10:14, Ecclesiastes 3:18, Job 18:3, Ecclesiastes 3:21. Because of this, man needed a savior, a redeemer, someone to “buy them back” from sin into grace. Thus, Jesus died and rose again. When we accepted Jesus as our savior we were filled with his spirit. The apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new”. Again, in Galatians 2:20 Paul said, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Quite some time ago the Lord revealed to me that his people are very concerned about not receiving the mark of the beast, but what many don’t understand is that we already have the beast nature! We were born with it. What we need to do is to get rid of it! Ephesians 2:3 says that we are naturally born children of wrath.

The devil has an agenda and that is to keep our focus on the wrong thing. That is anything but the Lord God.

In Revelation 13 we can read all about the beast and his mark. Verse 16 tells us plainly that the beast will cause all to have the mark, in their foreheads and in their hands. The forehead is representative of human government (authority), and “doings” speaks of the hands, or the works of man. Isaiah 9:6 shows us this. The government/authority shall be upon His shoulders. We must understand that the bible is not written in chronological order. This mark is placed in all of mankind. But when? Sometime in the future? Just because it is written in the end of the book doesn’t necessarily mean that it takes place at the end of time. Selah.

From the time that mankind fell from grace until now everyone has been born with the beast nature. Genesis 3 shows us that Adam and Eve immediately knew that they were naked once sin entered the picture. The Spirit and the Grace of God no longer covered them. So they hid themselves from the Lord and tried to cover themselves. Previously they were filled and alive by the very breath of God. Now they are naked and uncovered. This is precisely why God had to put Adam and Eve out of the garden, because God and sin, light and darkness, cannot dwell together. (Psalm 5:4) and (2 Corinthians 6:14).

Since we have that beast nature how do we get rid of it? It begins by being born again. (John 3) When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we are cleansed, renewed, and redeemed. The word “redeemed” literally means to “buy back”. So we “belong” to God and we are filled with His Spirit. Jesus, willingly laid down his own life and by payment of his own blood, paid for all who will come to him. Whosoever will. (Romans 10:13), (Revelation 22:17), (John 3:16-17) We spend the rest of our years continually making the choice to walk with God and not in our flesh (beast) nature.

Here’s some more exciting news! In Revelation 14:1 it says, “And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.” Remember what “foreheads” is speaking of? Government and authority. This clearly shows that God’s people (those that are born again, walking uprightly with Him) have the mark of their Father, not on, but IN, (etched, implanted, internal, a state) their foreheads and that we are under His government, not our own, or the beast’s.

Biblically speaking, twelve is the number of government. There were twelve tribes of Israel, twelve disciples, etc. The hundred and forty-four thousand is speaking of a perfect, balanced, government. Twelve by twelve.

Romans 1:20 says that we understand the things we cannot see or understand in the spiritual by the things that we can see in this natural world. If we watch the news or read the newspapers we already know that people are willingly being micro-chipped. This is really not that new but is becoming more widespread.

Christians do not have to be afraid.

You are marked by your Father in Heaven. When you accepted Christ you crucified your “old man” or “beast nature” and received His life. Since he bought you back and you belong to Him, does inserting a chip in your hand change that fact? I think not! Not any more than a Jew having a number etched into their skin made them a Nazi. God looks at the heart.

Do not allow the devil to get your focus off of your Heavenly Father. Remember, he is the most subtle beast of the field. He will use anything he can to keep your eyes off heavenly things.

We belong to a BIG God!

Here are some powerful scriptures showing this. Please, I encourage you to click on each one and read them.

In summary, I’m choosing to look at and believe what God’s word says. Whose report will you believe?
